Aktiv Properties REIT is a real estate investment trust that by virtue of the Law on Real Estate Investment Trusts carries out the business of investing cash resources, raised by issuing securities into real estates (real estates securitization). The registered capital of the company is 19 728 099 BGN, distributed in 19 728 099 shares, each of nominal value 1 BGN. This is a public company and its shares are traded on the "kerb market” of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange. 

The company was incorporated on 23 December 2004 by PT Holding AD, Advance Invest AD – Investment Company and Dilyan Peychev Panev. Aktiv Properties REIT was registered on 20.01.2005 under company case 202/2005 in the Trade Register of the District Court of Plovdiv. The company is not limited to term.

By Decision No. 272-DSITS of 20 April 2005 of the Financial Supervision Commission, Aktiv Properties REIT obtained license to carry out the business of a real estate investment trust.

On 11 May 2005, the Bulgarian Stock Exchange AD registered the first issue  of securities BG1100003059 of Aktiv Properties REIT and put forward for trading on the kerb market 500 000 shares, issued by the Company. The stock code AKTIV was assigned to the company.

From 11 May to 1 June 2005 Aktiv Properties REIT carried out first capital increase from 500 000 BGN to 650 000 BGN by issuing 150 000 shares of nominal value 1 BGN and issue value 1 BGN. With Decision №3569 of 01.06.2005, the District Court of Plovdiv registered increase of the stock capital from 500 000 BGN to 650 000 BGN. The resulting issue BG1100003059 of 150 000 securities has been registered for trading on the kerb market of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange since 6 July 2005.

From 27 January 2005 to 1 February 2006 Aktiv Properties REIT carried out second capital increase from 650 000 BGN to 5 200 000 BGN by issuing 4,550,000 shares of nominal value 1 BGN and issue value 1.10 BGN. With Decision №954 of 08.02.2006, the District Court of Plovdiv registered increase of the stock capital from 650 000 BGN to 5 200 000 BGN. The resulting issue BG1100003059 of 4,550,000 securities has been registered for trading on the kerb market of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange since 21 March 2006.

From 2 February 2007  to  20 March 2007 Aktiv Properties REIT carried out third capital increase from 5 200 000 BGN to 19 728 099 BGN by issuing 14,528,099 shares of nominal value 1 BGN and issue value 1.50 BGN. With Decision №2683 of 29.03.07, the District Court of Plovdiv registered increase of the stock capital from 5,200,000 BGN to 19,728,099 BGN. The resulting issue BG1100003059 of 14,528,099 securities has been registered for trading on the kerb market of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange since 26 April 2007.

Aktiv Properties REIT  is a part of the official index of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange BG REIT since its establishment on 17 August 2007. BG REIT is a market capitalization-based index, adjusted with the free float and includes the shares of the biggest real estate investment trusts for real estates securitization.
